Our new baby's full name is Meagan Elizabeth Beauchamp and she was born 02/15/00 @ 05:46 am.  Meagan weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and her length was 19 inches.  Early labor began 02/14/00 around 10 pm.  Sarah really didn't feel very much discomfort until 6 hours later.  Around 4 am 02/15/00, Sarah indicated that she was feeling significant discomfort and it was time to go to the hospital.  

We left the house around 04:45 am 02/15.  On the way to the hospital, Sarah felt the need to push.  We patched into a doctor via our cell phone.  The doctor verified that Good Sam was the closest hospital to our current location and to continue on to Good Sam.  The doctor gave instructions for Sarah to pant and to keep from pushing.  

We arrived at the hospital around 05:15 am.  Two orderlies were waiting at the emergency entrance and they whisked Sarah in a wheelchair up to delivery.  After the examination, the nurse quickly determined that Sarah was ready and Dr. Kunzel quickly appeared.  Fortunately, Dr. Kunzel had already been called in to the hospital to deliver another baby, so we didn't have to worry about a substitute doctor due to short notice.  

Half an hour later, a very healthy (9/9 Apgar rating) Meagan Elizabeth Beauchamp arrived.
